Treatment Process

Initial Consultation

During the initial consultation, we will briefly discuss your concerns regarding orthodontics and will provide you with the basic orthodontic information. A clinical exam will enable the Doctor to determine some of the orthodontic problems and treatment needs. This is a complimentary visit to meet the Doctor and her professional, friendly staff. Before a definitive orthodontic treatment plan can be designed, certain diagnostic records may be needed such as: photographs, cephalometric and panoramic radiographs, and models.

Diagnostic & Treatment Consultation

During this comprehensive consultation, the Doctor will review your records and discuss specific orthodontic problems as well as treatment options and the estimated treatment time. Selection of the type of appliances for your treatment will depend on your problem and your personal choice. We will also answer other questions you may have regarding orthodontics.

Digital Photographic Records
These facial and intraoral photographs are used to study facial balance and tooth position.
Cephalometric Head Radiographs
This digital radiograph is used to determine the skeletal pattern and the dental relationship to the jaw and facial profile.
Panoramic Radiographs
Dental radiographs (panoramic or full-mouth periapical) are used to view all teeth (including unerupted ones) and the bone supporting the teeth. These radiographs are different than the bite-wing radiographs used by your general dentist at routine check-ups.
Dental Study Models
Upper and lower impressions are taken to produce either digital dental study models or plaster study models.

Treatment

The fee for the active treatment and a personalized financial arrangement will be discussed. The cost of treatment can vary depending on the severity of the malocclusion or complexity of the problem and the length of time required to correct it. Our fees are reasonable, and we have flexible payment plans, including a no interest monthly payment plan and discounts for early payment.
